Parents, guardians urged to educate youths to excel, develop society

An educationist, Hajiya Hafsat Oziohu has called on parents and guardians to be proactive in educating their children and wards for they to excel and contribute their quota towards growth and development of the country.
She made the statement in her speech at the second speech and prize giving day of Al-Muflihoon International School, Sector F, Lugbe, Abuja.
According to her, “The school started as an Islamic school eighteen years ago before it commenced secular education.
“It has been training and retraining its teachers with the best educational practice.
“We called on the pupils and students to strive towards acquiring education for they to be stakeholders towards the growth and development of Nigeria to greater heights,” Hajiya Hafsat said.
In his address at the event, Chairman of the Parents Teachers’ Association, Alhaji Abdulqudus Aliyu said, “The children have really impressed us and made our day with the level of progress in their educational development as pupils and students of Islamic and secular education.
“We called on the school to continue developing them towards a brighter future as discipline personalities,” Alhaji Abdulqudus said.
Many prizes and awards were presented to pupils, students, teachers and parents.
