Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Governors Forum and Governor of Bauchi State Senator Bala Mohammed has vowed that the party will provide alternative to the current economic hardship Nigerians are going through.

He stressed that the PDP will do that through constructive criticisms and robust programmes and policies.

He further stressed that what is needed at the moment is constructive criticisms that will make the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government live up to its constitutional function of good and effective governance.

The PDP Governors Forum Chairman was speaking during a meeting with members of PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) held at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

Mohammed lamented that citizens are subjected to untold hardship leading to hunger and anger, uncertainty and lack of way out of the quagmire.

He maintained that instead of engaging in a blame game, the PDP as the main opposition in the country’s politics would continue to offer positive contributions for the benefit of Nigerians.

While acknowledging the BoT’s support to the aspirations of all PDP candidates that won various elective positions, the Chairman of PDP Governors Forum assured to accord them the desired respect as leaders of the party.

Mohammed expressed optimism that PDP will continue to remain a united and strongest political party in Nigeria.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the BoT, Senator Adolphus Wabara, Acting National Chairman, Amb. Umar Iliya Damagum, Members of the National Working Committee (NWC) and former chairmen.
