Plateau Governor Mutfwang appoints Nigeria Standard journalist, Dorcas Pankyes Special Assistant on media

Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang has appointed one The Nigerian Standard newspaper, Jos versatile journalists, Mrs. Dorcas Pankyes as one his Special Assistants on media.

Dorcas covered the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for the Plateau State-owned newspaper for some years and assigned to critical beats where she excelled.

In a statement by Director of Press and Public Affairs, to the Plateau State Governor, Gyang Bere, Dorcas is among many other media aides appointed by the Governor.

The Governor approved forty Principal Special Assistants on Media, fifty-three Senior Special Assistants on Media and one hundred and eleven Special Assistants on Media.

According to the statement the appointments is in a bid to enhance public awareness and disseminate the policies of the “Time of Now” administration to the grassroots levels.

Bere said the appointments take immediate effect.

Dorcas was one-time Welfare Secretary of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
