Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang has applauded the media for standing with him in the period of travails before the judiciary.

Mutfwang was speaking during a thanksgiving session in Jos, the state capital on Sunday.

Describing the Supreme Court as the last hope for justice, he narrated how some powerful forces within and outside the state wanted to truncate the hard earned verdict of majority of voters in the state, who thronged out enmasse to ensure the victory of his party, the PDP.

He was particularly impressed with the correspondents’ chapel of the NUJ in the state, where he said had stood out for justice while the governorship election litigation lasted, saying they remained his and by extension, the heroes/heroines of Plateau.

The governor was also full of praises to the President, Bola Tinubu whom, he said refused to allow these forces penetrate the seat of government to sell lies and further seek his intervention to take over power in the state by any means possible.

As a father of the land, he appealed the president for remaining neitral and stressed that to allow the wish of the people triumph, has earned Tinubu the respect he had earned for himself across the globe.

Mutfwang was full of commendation for religious bodies who were neutral during and after and prayed that he shall not disappoint because the cictory has further challenged him to do more for the state.

The prayer session which attracted churches leaders and worshippers from different denominations across the state, also attracted lovers of the state from all over the country; including for military and civilian governors from the state and outside.

Mutfwang who did not hid his admiration for the role former governor, Senator David Jang played and used the occasion to call him a “father” to the state.
