President Buhari commends Emir of Bauchi for promoting peaceful coexistence in his domain

The Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji (Dr) Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu has been commended for always standing on the path of promoting peaceful coexistence among the various communities resident in the state irrespective of ethno-religious sentiments.
The commendation was made by the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari when he visited the Emir in his Palace as part of his engagement during a one day official working visit to the State to commission the multi Billion Naira Bauchi urban water scheme.
Represented by the Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, President Muhammadu Buhari appreciated the leadership role and quality of the Emir in ensuring nothing disrupts the peaceful coexistence in his domain.
He attributed the peace enjoyed in the state due to the role played by the revered traditional institutions which he said is very essential in administration of people in a democratic dispensation.
The President was also full of thanks for the Emir for allowing the resettlement of victims of insurgency from states in the subregion in the state.
He urged him to continue to play his fatherly role in the state by always offering useful advices and correction whenever the need for such arises.
While responding, the Emir of Bauchi who is the Chairman, Council of Traditional Rulers in the state, Alhaji (Dr) Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for visiting his palace despite the tight schedule of activities line up for him for the commissioning of some projects in Bauchi.
The Emir assured the President that the traditional institutions in the state will continue to be father to all irrespective of ethno-religious sentiments because according to him, it is only when there is peace that meaningful development can be made.
He then commended the Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for the laudable developmental projects that necessitated the visit of President to Bauchi for inauguration.
