Godswill Akpabio in Gombe to interface with national delegates of the APC

A presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio says if elected as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,  he will institutionalise a value orientation that will promote peace and unity using the tripod of love, justice and fairness. 
The presidential hopeful who stated this while addressing the APC delegates and stakeholders at the Government House, stressed that it is his desire to use machinery of government to build bridges of unity and peace across the country and administer love, justice, equity and fairness to all Nigerians irrespective of their ethno religious affiliations. 
The former Akwa Ibom State Governor recalled that during his sojourn as Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs, he worked with critical stakeholders in the oil producing region of the country to bring about normalcy and peace in the region. 
On the current security  challenges in Nigeria, the immediate past Minister of  Niger Delta Affairs promised that if elected as Nigeria’s President he will deploy State of the art technology to aid the fight against crimes and criminalities in the country. 
The presidential hopeful equally maintained that his administration as President of the country will witness the resuscitation of the economy through development of the Agricultural and the  manufacturing sectors to create jobs. 
Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya had while welcoming the APC Presidential aspirant to Gombe, said his State is ready and desirous of leadership that has the interest of the people at heart; the one that will work with the current administration to help it actualize its dreams of a better tomorrow for all the citizenry.  
He expressed the belief that with his pedigree as former Governor,  Senator and Minister, Akpabio has the capacity to lead the nation to greater heights.  
Represented by the Deputy Governor of the State, Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau, the Governor told the visiting presidential aspirant that his administration has  developed a 10-year  plan which has since created a guide for the  massive investment in the health and education sectors as well as the development of an industrial park which sits on a one thousand hectres of land. 
He said the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park, when completed will advance the socio-economic development of Gombe State in particular and Nigeria in general. 
The National Coordinator of Godshill Akpabio Campaign Organisation and former FCT Minister,  Dr. Aliyu Modibbo Umar said the presidential hopeful has solid credentials and wherewithal to lead Nigeria, particularly at a time when the country is facing myriad of socio-economic and political challenges.


He said he believes in the capacity of  Sen. Akpabio to deliver a progressive Nigeria to the people, having interacted with the presidential aspirant for the past 15 years. 
He advised Gombe APC delegates to be decisive in their action of choosing the party’s presidential flag bearer,  noting that the 2023 election will be a watershed. 
The Gombe State Chairman of APC, Mr Nitte Amangal said the delegates in Gombe State under the leadership of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya are united in their resolve to speak with one voice, assuring the former Akwa Ibom State Governor of support.  
There were goodwill remarks by the Speaker of Gombe State House of Assembly,  Hon.  Abubakar Mohammed Luggerewo,  State APC Secretary,  Abubakar Sadiq Goro and Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Muhammad A. Bello.
