Bauchi State chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) on Tuesday elected new Executive Council members who will direct its affairs for the next three years.
The State election was conducted at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Alpha and Omega Parish, Bauchi under the supervision of the National Vice President of PFN, Prophet Isa El-Buba.
While speaking after the election, Prophet Isa El-Buba urged Clergyman in the country to engage in preachings that will give their members hope in this seeming hopeless situation in the country.
He also urged them to use the Pulpit to build friendship and unity among worshippers rather than engage in sermons that will further aggravate the already worst situation.
Represented by the Zonal Secretary of PFN, Rev. Sam T. Alaha, Prophet Isa El-Buba stressed that what the people need at this period are soothing words that will build up their hopes to be able to navigate the situation.
According to him, the best thing to do is to engage on massive teaching on self reliance through entrepreneurship and prayers for divine intervention saying that the situation is not beyond redemption.
He then charged the new EXCO to run an all inclusive administration in order to achive the set objectives of vying for leadership offices in the first place knowing that they are accountable to God who gave them the leadership.
Isa El-Buba commended the delegates for exhibition of maturity and spirit of God during the election saying, “this is the best PFN election I have witnessed in recent time. You really showed that you are not bent on getting elected. I hope others will take a cue from your conduct.”
In his post election remarks, the new PFN Chairman in Bauchi state, Pastor Promise Yohanna commemded the delegates for the maturity displayed before, during and after the electoral process .
He assured that the new EXCO will carry all members along because according to him, “We cannot do it alone. We need the cooperation and support of everyone to succeed in the task of leadership you just bestowed on us.”
Promise Yohanna also assured that the new leadership will embark on programme and policies that will uplift the body of Christians in the state so that they will speak with one voice.
