Ramadan: 5000 Muslim families across Bauchi LG get rice donation from Foundation

A total of 5000 carefully selected vulnerable and poor Muslim families across the 20 LGAs of Bauchi State are are to benefit from a special Ramadan palliation by a Bauchi based charity organisation, ‘Wunti Al-khair Foundation’.
The distribution of the Ramadan support is being conducted in phases after it was commenced with benefitiaries from Katagum, Zaki, Gamawa and Giade Local Government Areas.
Programme Manager of the organisation, Mustapha Ango, explained that the gesture aims to reach 250 beneficiaries in each of the 20 local governments, carefully selected from vulnerable residents, persons with disabilities, and other groups of needy.
He explained that the initiative is designed to bring much-needed relief to the less fortunate, especially during this fasting month of Ramadan.
Also speaking, an official in the foundation, Isiyaka Wunti, said in addition to the Ramadan food distribution, the Wunti Al-khair Foundation engages in various other charitable activities, including providing free medical outreach programmes and education scholarships for underprivileged members of society.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Foundation for finding them worthy of the humanitarian gesture in the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Auwalu Bala from Bununu in Tafawa Balewa local government said that the assistance came in handy as it brought joy to his family considering the economic crisis in the country.
Also speaking, Larai Haruna, another beneficiary, revealed that she had not cooked rice in her house before the Foundation’s generous donation.
The beneficiaries choruses that the Wunti Al-khair Foundation’s selfless efforts have undoubtedly brought smiles to the faces of many families in Bauchi State.
They opined that it is a demonstration of the true spirit of compassion and generosity that defines the holy month of Ramadan.
