Sallah celebration: NOA boss tasks Nigerians on peace, security, prayers

As Sallah celebration gains momentum in many parts of the world and indeed Nigeria, the Director General, National Orientation Agency (NOA) Dr. Garba Abari has implored Muslim faithfuls and the entire Nigerians to seize the medium to intesify prayer for the peace and security of the country.

The NOA boss made this known in a Sallah message endorsed by the Assistant Director Press NOA, Paul Odenyi.

He admonished Muslim Ummah to hold unto the lessons of selflessness, dicsipline, obedience, obedience and sacrifice whis is the essence of the celebration.

Dr. Abari enjoined them to imbibe the values and lessons the celebration signifies for the progress, unity and development of the country.

The NOA DG also cautioned all celebrants and Nigerians indeed to stay and keep safe especially in view of the confirimed usurge in COVID-19 infections nothing that the Delta variant of the virus is already in the country.

He therefore advised against large gatherings, stressing the need for strict adherence to all prescribed non pharemaceutical preventive measures of facial coverings, constantly hand washing and physical distancing before, during and after the Sallah celebration.
