By Sunny A. David, Onitsha
The Transition Committee Chairman of Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, Hon. Arinze Awogu, has called on state governments of the South-East and members of the National Assembly from the zone to identity with the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to give Ndigbo a stronger voice at the national level.
The chairman made the call while speaking to journalists in his office at Atani, council headquarters, while describing APGA as the only Igbo identity that prides itself as third largest political party in Nigeria.
Awogu, explained that for the South-East Geopolitical zone to secure key positions in the nation’s political equation, it must have a platform like it did during 1979 elections, adding that  APGA has demonstrated that it means well for Ndigbo as shown by Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano who has recorded legendary performance in all sectors.
While felicitating with the APGA National Chairman, Chief Victor Oye, on his victory at the Supreme Court, the chairman noted that the judgment is a victory for democracy and an indication that APGA has come to stay.
He expressed confidence that APGA is now solidified to make an in-road to other South-East States in the 2019 general elections.
The chairman called on some members who are causing disunity in the party to desist from such and join hands with Governor Willie Obiano and APGA National Chairman, Chief Oye to realize the vision of the party.
