SSG donates N1m to Gombe United FC, witnesses club’s training to boost players morale

The Secretary to Gombe State Government (SSG), Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi was at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe to witness the morning training session of Gombe United Football Club.
The visit came after a promise made by the SSG last Thursday during his meeting with critical stakeholders where he indicated willingness to witness the training session of the club.
Njodi encouraged the state’s darling team not to be deterred by recent setbacks but to brace up towards making the State proud.
As if that was not enough, the SSG in his usual magnanimity, made a personal donation of N1m to the team and tasked them to redouble efforts in their footballing performances.
He assured them that Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya will continue to support the team in every way possible.
According to him, “You must work hard and always go for the goal in both your Home and away matches.Go and make Gombe State proud.”
The SSG had on Tuesday held a meeting with stakeholders of the team where he expressed dismay over the state darling team recent performance and tasked them to brace up.
The meeting had in attendance ,the Commissioner of Youths & Sport Development, Adamu Inuwa Pantami, some Permanent Secretaries, the General Manager and Management of Gombe United.
Others included the Chairman Gombe FA and Members as well as the Technical Adviser and Some players Representative discussed extensively on the way forward on how to improve of the performance of the club.
Elated management team of Gombe United and players appreciated the visit of the chief scribe to their training ground and his personal donation of 1 Millon describing the gesture as a good morale booster.
