Taraba APC protests El-Sudi’s power usurpation, demands immediate sack

Taraba State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barr. Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi has come under fire as executives members of the party has called on his immediate sack.
In a peaceful protest staged at the National Headquarters of APC in Abuja Monday, the state APC alleged that, the embattled state chairman’s illegally usurping of his constitutional powers is capable of destroying the party.
They equally alleged that more often than not, El-Sudi has a nag for blatant disregard for APC constitutional approach in governing the state chapter of the party.
Consequently, they observed that his autocratic leadership style, if not sanctioned will give added advantage to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), to win the state again, comes 2023.
Conveying the displeasure of the state executives of the party to the National Secretary of APC in Abuja, Iyiola Omisore, the leader of the protesters said El-Sudi went ultra vice and swore in a factional section of APC executives on Friday in Wukari, Ussa, Donga and Takum LGs.
He explained, it is unfortunate that at the critical time that the party is in dire need of conforming a united front to endear internal cohesion, the party chairman is breeding animosity.
He added, if not called to order El-Sudi’s excesses will destroy APC in Taraba State. He therefore called on the national executives of the party to immediately sack the state chairman before he takes Taraba APC down the drain.
“We are confident that the current leadership of APC, under Distinguished Senator Abdullahi Adamu will expedite actions to forestall peace in the APC family in Taraba State,” he said.
In a swift response, National Secretary of APC Iyiola Omisore who was represented by his Special Adviser, Professor Adedora received the prayers of the protesters.
He assured the protesters that justice will be done as soon as the national secretary goes through the documents.
In their wailing mood, Taraba APC loyalists were seen carrying placards of different inscriptions. Some read; ‘El-Sudi an agent of PDP’, ‘Taraba APC Chair an anti-party agent’, ‘Sack El-Sudi now’, ‘El-Sudi is an enemy within’, among others.
