Taraba Governor Kefas condoles SSG Kataps over demise of elder brother Jonah

Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas, has condoled Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps, the Secretary to the State Government over the death of his elder brother, Jonah.
The Governor, accompanied by senior government officials, visited the family home in Jalingo to pay his respect to the berieved family of late Jonah Kataps who passed away on the November 25, 2024 at the Specialist Hospital, Jalingo.
During the visit, Taraba State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Alkali who conveyed the collective sorrow of the Taraba State Government and the people spoke positively of the deceased, highlighting his patriotism and the significant contributions to the State.
The Deputy Governor said the loss of Jonah Kataps resonates far beyond the family and Sardauna Local Government Area, but affecting the entire state.
He offered prayers for divine comfort, asking for strength and fortitude for the bereaved family during this difficult time.
Responding, the Secretary to the Government, Chief Gebon Timothy Katabs, expressed gratitude to the Governor for his love and support in their trying moment reflecting on the steadfast loyalty of his brother acknowledging him as a strong ally in the mission of the Governor.
Late Jonah Kataps will be remembered as a passionate unionist who served as the Chairman of both the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in Taraba State as well as Chairman of the State Local Government Service Board.
