Taraba Governor Kefas inaugurates rural electrification projects in Gembu, been in comatoes for over 20 years

The Governor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu Kefas has inaugurated a rural electrification project in Gembu in Sardauna Local Government of the state which has been moribund for over 20 years after remodelling it to standard.

Inaugurating the project on Tuesday, Dr. Kefas said completion of the project by his Government was in fulfillment of his campaign promises to the people of the area and
expressed optimism that the the project will go a long way in facilitating the progress and development of the Local Government.

Governor Kefas pledged that his Administration will rehabilitate and rebuild all infrastructures including Schools and ensure that the ongoing Gembu road project is completed to properly harness the abundant tourism potentials in the Mambilla plateau.

In her remarks, Taraba State Commissioner of Energy and Economic Development, Engineer Naomi Agbu
paid tribute to Governor Agbu Kefas for ensuring that the project sees the light of the day adding that with adequate electricity in Gembu more economic activities will surface in the area.

Chairman of Sardauna Local Government Mohammed Umar lauded the Governor for identifying with the area in his developmental strides and called for the siting of more impactful projects and higher institutions of learning on the Mambilla Plateau to facilitate the tapping of the tourism potentials in the area.

Chief of Mambilla, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Shehu Audu Baju, and the Member representing Mbamga State Constituency at the Taraba State House of Assembly Abel Peter Diah expressed appreciation to Dr. Kefas for making the rural elecfication project in the area a reality.

The Governor also commissioned the rehabilitated Sardauna Local Government Legislative Chamber and inspected other ongoing State Government projects and abandoned facilities in the area with a view to completing and resuscitating them.
