As Bauchi State Government-owned Wikki Tourists FC continues its poor run in the ongoing football season, its Chief Coach, Abdullahi Adamu has lamented that the result it got against Akwa United on match day 25 in the ongoing NPFL 20/21 season was not what they worked for especially after the last away draw to Rivers United.
Abdullahi Adamu was talking to sports journalists in a post match interview after the game on Sunday saying that the result was most unfortunate having prepared well for it.
The disappointed coach said that, “Our plan was to have the maximum three points here, go to Kaduna and get something positive out of the next match, but you can see what happened. We have taken it in good faith and will work towards ensuring victory in our next game Insha Allah” .
He also appealed for more prayers from the teeming supporters of the club saying that the situation also calls for calm to enable the club swim out of the relegation waters.
The Wikki Tourists match against Akwa United played on Sunday at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi ended in a 2-2 draw thereby dropping Wikki Tourists FC to the 17th position on the log.
