Top dignitaries attend former IGP Coomassie funeral at Katsina
Remains of ex-IGP Coomassie for burial
A former Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Coomassie, who died on Thursday evening in Katsina has been buried at the Rimin Badawa, Filin Samji burial ground with top dignitaries in attendance.
He was 76 years old.
The burial took place after the Jumma’at prayers at the Bin Coomassie Mosque in Katsina.
Leading the federal government delegation was the Chief of Staff to the President, Alhaji Abba Kyari alongside the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General, Abubakar Malami, Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu and Minister of Interior, Abdurahman Danbazau, Minister of State, Works and Housing Suleiman Hassan, Senator Abu Ibrahim and the Senior Special Assistant on Media, Garba Shehu.
Among traditional rulers at the prayer are Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumin Usman, his Daura counterpart, Alhaji Umar Faruk, Emir of Potiskum, Alhaji Umaru Bubaram Ibn wuriwa Bauya and Emir of Hadejia, Adamu Abubakar.
