Anambra State Government has called for collaborative efforts towards putting an end to series of violent attacks in the State in the last few days.
The State Governor, Chief Wille Obiano made the call during a statewide broadcast at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.
Our correspondent reports that Governor Obiano condemned the burning of vehicles and killings of about ten persons since the attacks ensued, including the unfortunate murder of the late Dr. Chike Akunyili.
He urged Traditional Rulers, the Clergy and others to join forces with the State government to arrest the ugly situation.
Governor Obiano stressed offered a reward of twenty million naira for useful information leading to the arrest of perpetrators of the dastardly acts of terror against the State.
While calling on youths to rise up and protect their various Communities, the Governor emphasized that he has given clear directive to security agencies in the State to rise up to the ocassion and as no stone will be left unturned to bring the perpetrators to justice.
He urged ndi Anambra to provide useful information to security agencies and warned the perpetrators to desist as the long arm of the law will certainly get to them no matter where they are hiding.
Chief Obiano consoled the families of people who lost their loved ones in the attacks, calling citizens to call 07039197332 of the Police or other emergency numbers for prompt action.
