Vice Chancellor of the trailbrazing institution of higher learning, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, (Nsuk) Professor Bala Muhammed has assured a leading online/print media organization in the country, Apex News Exclusive of partnership to increase the visibility of the university.
Professor Muhammed stated this while playing host to management of the pen organization on Monday in the university. Represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, Professor Haruna Kuje Ayuba the VC applauded the professional inroads of the media organization by tracking development to the school.
The university don said he is particularly fascinated at the media reportage carried out by Apex News Exclusive during the just concluded 6th combined Convocation as well 20 years anniversary of the university.
“On behalf of Professor Suleiman Bala Muhammed, we welcome you to Nasarawa State University, Keffi. I have seen your reports a couple of times in the university, even during our convocation. And from the various editions of Apex News Exclusive you presented this morning which was also circulated to all principal officers of the university. Having gone through it, I am impressed by how you track development in the university.
“So, I am also happy that you said the Registrar is your colleague. Incidentally, he is the custodian of the records of the university. He is also secretary to council. We can partner through him, and also information/protocol officer of the university.
“As a university, we are very impressed by what you are doing, at least from this evidence before us. We are very willing to partner with you, since you are already the friend of the university, a major stakeholder for that matter. The university is very willing to partner with you to increase the visibility of the university.
“I will enjoyed that you to come again when the VC is back on seat. But, in his honour, am saying we welcome to any organization/institution that will increase the visibility of the university.
“Also, if there is any major event in the university, we will link up with you and tell you the area of your participation,” he stated.
In his Earlier presentation, Anthony Maliki, Editor-in Chief, said the media executives of the organization have come to identify with the university for better reportage for the institution.
As agenda setters in a democratic setting, Maliki explained that it has become necessary for the media to interact with various entities to understand better the challenges and the projection.
“We are here to formally present Apex News Exclusive to you. We have the online version which is one of the fastest growing new medium in Nigeria, and the print version.
“We are here to rob minds with you so as to see how we can work together to the benefit of the larger society,” he pointed out. Maliki was accompanied by Samuel Torlumun, Editor and Francis Nansak, Editor, Special Projects. Also,
present at the event were Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, Bala Isyaka Ahmed II, Registrar, among other principal staff.
I’ve always thought Apex news is just online. I didn’t know you have a print. Kudos to the team. Greater heights I pray.
