Chief of Staff, Government House, Gombe, Alh. Abubakar Inuwa Kari presents a trophy on behalf of the Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has reassured youths in the state of his government’s continued support to sports competitions and other initiatives that will promote peace and unity among youths in the state. 
The governor restated this during the final match of a maiden football competition initiated and sponsored by one of his ardent supporters, Bappah Abdullahi Gombe, tagged ‘Inuwa Allah Maimaita Mana 4+4 Ramadan Cup’. 
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Alh. Abubakar Inuwa Kari, the governor said: “I’m excited that since the start of this league to the end, youths, especially the participating ones, have shown high sense of maturity by conducting themselves and playing the game according its rules.


“I want to reassure the organizer of this football fiesta and every young person in the state that our government will support competitions that will promote peace and unity among youths in the state. I hope this competition can’t be the first and last version of it.” the governor said. 
The final match was played between the winner of the trophy, FC Zokwashe of Herwagana, which scored two goals and its opponent, FC Inter of Jekadafari which scored one goal. 
The state government delegation at Pantami Stadium, venue of the competition, was the representative of the governor, his Chief of Staff, Alh. Abubakar Inuwa Kari, Speaker of Gombe State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Luggerewo, Commissioner of Youths,  Hon. Abubakar Musa and those of  Finance, Hon. Muhammad Gambo Magaji and Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Dasuki Jalo Waziri. 
Others were Commissioners of Health, Hon. Habu Dahiru; Rural Development, Hon. Danladi Adamu; Trade, Industry and Tourism, Hon. Nasiru Aliyu; Member Representing Kwami East, Hon. Shu’aibu Adamu Haruna, Executive Chairman, Gombe State Sport Commission, Lanre Daniel, councilors from various wards as well as sport enthusiasts. 
Highlights of the event was the presentation of trophies to the champion and runners up as well as medals to the outstanding players as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General, ( Press Affairs)Government House, Gombe.
