Wife of Anglican Bishop of Awka commends governor’s wife for promoting girl–child education

The wife of Bishop of Awka Diocese, Anglican Communion, Mrs. Martha Ibezim, has commended the wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano for her contributions towards the growth of girl-child education in the state.
As at 2018, Chief Mrs. Obiano had sponsored no fewer than three hundred and fifty girl-child through training in vocational institutions in the state.
Commending the governor’s wife, Mrs. Ibezim during the 2018/2019 Matriculation Ceremony of the Mary Sumner Vocational Institute, Awka, expressed optimism that the number will continue to increase.
She urged the new students to focus on their studies and acquire the skills for which they have come to learn.
The Prelate’s wife enjoined the students to value the orientation, given to them, which would position them to face challenges in the society.
She called on the Bank of Industries and philanthropists to partner with the institute by providing them equipment for learning.
