Women groups laud Taraba Assembly for confirming Salmuna as first female Clerk

Various women groups in Taraba State have applauded the confirmation of Mrs. Salmuna Amos Sani as the first ever female Clerk by the state house of assembly.
Mrs. Esther Danjuma of Haske Women Association told Apex News Exclusive that for the first time members of the house of assembly have done something unique.
According to her, the confirmation of Mrs. Salmuna deserves commendation of women across board.
Also, Hajiya Zainab Hassan, a prominent scholar from Jalingo who resides in Jos, Plateau State, in a telephone conversation with our correspondent passed a vote of confidence on the 24 members of the assembly, noting that this is a sign of good omen coming under the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas and exemplary quality leadership of the Speaker, Hon. John Bonzena Kizito.
The appointment of Mrs. Salmuna followed a letter of notification of appointment from the House of Assembly Service Commission to the legislature.
In a communication read by the Speaker, the Clerk has been on acting capacity for over six months hence the need for her confirmation.
A former Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abel Peter Diah representing Mbamga Constituency, Hon. Tanko Abubakar Yusuf from Takum I, Hon. Veronica Alhassan of Bali I and Hajiya Batulu Kaltume Mohammed of Gashaka constituencies described the new Clerk as dedicated, committed and capable of handling the affairs of the House.
