Yobe lawmaker distributes food items to constituents to cushion hardships

The Member representing Fika/Fune Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Engr Muhammed Buba Jajere, has distributed assorted bags of rice, Sugar, and other foodstuffs to thousands of people of his constituency as part of efforts to cushion their hardship during the month of Ramadan.
Speaking to some journalists on the distribution, Engr Jajere said the gesture was aimed at cushioning the hardship being experienced by his people, especially during this holy month of Ramadan.
He said that, the gesture was also carried to encourage people stay at home to meet the requirement of this holy month of Ramadan to pray for our state and nation at large.
According to him, despite the little resources, he would ensure that his constituents tested transparent and balanced representation.
He described that, the gesture is spread across the constituency to enable more people benefit.
“I want people to know that, we cannot feed everyone, looking at the proximity and size of this constituency, I therefore appeal to everyone to contribute his or her quoter in helping the less privilege,” he said.
He said these bags of rice, sugar, and some Spaghetti is for every polling unit in the constituency.
He also called on the beneficiaries to judiciously utilize the items to reduce headship among people.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Abba Umar, applauded the effort of the member for reaching out to the households at this time, calling on other beneficiaries to use the items judiciously.
Another beneficiary, Isa Mohammed Bala said that, Its a clear testimony that even the opponents of the member benefited from the gesture that have reached many people irrespective of tribe.
