Speaker Dogara
Ten candidates are challenging the Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, for Saturday’s elections for Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency of Bauchi State.
Dogara was first elected in 2007 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and re-elected in 2011. He defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2014 and returned to the PDP in 2018.
In Saturday’s elections, the Speaker will face a stiff challenge from Dauda Yusuf of ACD, Liman Shehu Iliyasu, ADC, Abubakar Dalhatu Abdullahi of APC, Aliko Umar Musa of APP and Adamu Mukhtar Shall of DPC.
Other candidates are; Dr Emmanuel John Kaka of GPN, Idris Sama’ila Salman of NNPP, Usman Yusuf of PRP, Birus Danladi of SDP and Abdullahi Hassan Gital of UPC.
