Over 100, 000 exhibitors are expected at the 20th edition of the Abuja International Trade Fair scheduled from 25th September to 6th October, 2025.
Also, 40 diplomatic missions and 20 countries have indicated interest and committed to securing pavilions to participate in the trade fair.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Fair Organising committee and 2nd Deputy President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Dr. Aliyu Idi Hong at a press conference in Abuja on Monday.
The theme of the fair is “Sustainability: Consumption, Incentives, and Taxation.”
According to him, there will be dedicated special panel sessions during the fair including with major financial institutions like Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and other conglomerates.
He pointed out that Abuja International Trade Fair has over the years transformed into an international show piece of repute.
Dr. Hong stressed that exhibitions would cover trade, industry, agriculture, fintech, sustainable energy, transportation, environmental solutions, and creative industries.
Besides, he said, there will be panel sessions with the CBN, FIRS, FCT IRS, National Council on Climate Change, relevant Federal Ministries, international agencies, commercial banks, fintech innovators, and clean technology leaders with dedicated SME-focused platforms reaffirming ACCI’s commitment to supporting small businesses as the backbone of economic development.
The chairman said during the fair Buy Africa, Build Africa (BABA FEST) would be introduced.
According to him, this year’s Fair will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and development partners to examine how consumption patterns, incentives, and taxation can be aligned to drive responsible production, investment, and environmental stewardship, in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Dr. Hong noted that there will a special launching to promote African products at the fair among other attractions like live performances by artistes and serving of free food especially Jollof rice.
