20 Cross River primary, secondary schools receive educational supports

No fewer than 20 primary and secondary schools in Abi, Yakurr, and Obubra local government areas in the central part of Cross River State have received several educational materials.
These materials included hundreds of School Bags, thousands of exer use books, numerous Calculators, and hundreds of Mathsets, among others.
The items were received by the various head teachers, Principals, Pupils and Students of various schools.
Some of the beneficiary schools include, Bahamono Secondary Grammar School, Ebom, Abi LGA. PCN Ekureku, Abi LGA. Community Primary School, Itigidi, Abi LGA. Primary School, Agoi Ibami, Yakurr LGA. Secondary School Mkpani, Yakurr LGA. Community Secondary School Ugep, Yakurr LGA. Community Secondary School Apiapum, Obubra LGA. St. Patrick Primary School, Iyamoyong, Obubra LGA. Community Primary School Ofumbongha No 1, Obubra LGA, and many others.
The Senator representing the Central Senatorial District, Sen. Eteng Jones Williams facilitated the donations to these schools.
He was represented by former chairman of Ikom LGA, Ayiba Ojong Ayiba.
Eteng underscored the paramount importance of education, emphasizing that every child in the state must be supported to access formal education.
Educational supervisors in the three LGAs, including Obubra LGA, Comrade. Onyam Egbe, Yakurr LGA, Hon. Godwin and Thomas, Abi, Hon. Wilfred Inah expressed thanks, assuring that the materials would be distributed evenly to indigent students.
