The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dissassciated itself from the purported presidential campaign list in circulation allegedly emanated from Sen. Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani.
In a statement signed by the state party Acting Chairman Hon. Samaila Tadawus saying that the ‘Publication of unapproved list state Presidential Campaign Council, (PPC)’.
The statement read thus, “The All Progressive Congress (APC) Adamawa state surprisingly stumbled over a list of presidential campaign council members in circulation in the social media and some national dailies dated 31st October, 2022 as public announcement”.
The party also said the purported list, “the said list emanated from Sen Aiahatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani as Adamawa state coordinator, who single handedly generated the list without consulting the party at both state and local government level for necessary inputs and final approval.”
Hon. Samaila Tadawus noted that, “on the enquiry by the party, it was also confirmed that our members of the National Assembly, State Assembly candidates and crucial stakeholders were not consulted either.
The party, however, recalled that the National presidential campaign council contacted the party at the National level for necessary input and final approval before the campaign secretariat released the list.
Therefore, the National campaign Secretariat did not confer any right on any state coordinator to bypass the party act unilaterally, the party added.
However, “in view of the above, the party hereby rejects the list in circulation and urge party members and the general public to disregard same.”
Accordingly, the party have noted the various complaints from stakeholders who have been deliberately omitted and assure everybody that there had been meeting of party exco local government party chairmen, candidates and stakeholders recently and held at Muna Hotel for proper consultations.
And that, a compressive list of the authentic state presidential campaign council members will be released thereafter for public consumption.
