Governor Darius Ishaku

Count down to 2023 general elections, Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State has threatened to dare any individual or group of persons found trying to bridge the peace of the state.
Gov. Ishaku who handed down the warning while playing host to various group and prominent indigenes of the state who came to pay him Christmas homage in his Country Home Takum Local Government Area, said the warning has became imperative in view of the forthcoming 2023 general election.
He noted that during period under review his administration has committed huge fund to ensure stable peace in the state and therefore cannot sit down and watch the peace of the state threatening by few individuals and called on traditional rulers to be on the vanguard especially in their respective domains.
Breaking down some of his achievements for the past seven and half years, Ishaku said his administration had recorded tremendous success in the areas of security, water, agriculture, health and education.
Other areas he mentioned includes: roads/housing infrastructure, prompt payment of salary of civil servants, massive employment of workers and recruitment of teachers as well completion of the newly fly-over among other land mark achievements, just as he lauded his team players for solidly behind him.
While assuring Tarabans of peaceful and rancor free 2023 general election Gov. Ishaku observed the need to be law abiding even before, during and after election, pointing out that security agents will be in red alert to deal with anyone or group trying to cause confusion.
The governor who admonishes the mammoth crowed at the visit enjoined them to be prayerful as according to him the visit been last Christmas in his Capacity as Governor no doubt the next coming administration will build from the solid foundation already laid by his government and thank each and every one of them for show of support and love since 2015 till date.
Meanwhile notable among various groups who were at the homage includes state council of traditional rulers, legislatures, secretary to the state Government, commissioners, head of service and special advisers. Others are local government care taker chairmen, permanent secretaries, party leaders, spiritual leaders (Christian and Muslim councils), local government secretaries, youth wings and widows association among several other ones, all hails governor Darius and his wife Mrs Anna for progress recorded during period under review.
