Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State

As the 2023 political activity is gradually building up, a political pressure group based in Bauchi, ‘Kaura Bauchi Body Builders Association’, has called on Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed to join the presidential race under any political party of his desire.
The group stated that the call became expedient because of the need to extend his Bauchi exemplary leadership to the national horizon having been there before as Senator and Minister of FCT.
The group also noted with concern that the country was on the threshold of political turmoil that needs an eloquent leader to steer its ship out of economic quagmire, political strangulation, insecurity mess, abject poverty, and bad leadership.
Chairman of the group, Malam Dauda Mele in an interview with newsmen in Bauchi on Wednesday, said that the call for Governor Bala Mohammed to join the presidential race come 2023 become imperative taking into cognizance his revolutionary transformation cutting across all sectors of the economy in the state.
Dauda Mele further said that, “Nigeria is in dire need of such leaders like Governor Bala Mohammed, a nationalist for that matter, a man of sagacity, dedication and commitment to the cause of the down-trodden members of the society, and who has the heart to salvage the salvage the country from its present predicaments of insecurity, economic strangulation and political mess.
He added that, “Bauchi was in a state of hopelessness when Bala Mohammed assumed the mantle of leadership in May 2019 with infrastructural decay especially in its health and educational institutions, and compounded with the influx of IDPs resulting from the Boko Haram insurgency in the neighbouring Yobe and Borno states.
Dauda Mele who noted that Governor Bala Mohammed has within two years of his stewardship to a significant extent transformed the economy of Bauchi state stated, “The Governor has significantly improved the revenue based of the state and carry along all citizens on board in taking Bauchi to an enviable height”.
The Kaura Bauchi Body Builders Association Chairman therefore tendered a passionate appeal to Governor Bala Mohammed to heed to the association’s call to join the presidential race in the next general elections in the country, recalling how Bala Mohammed transformed the FCT when he was the minister.
