2023: INEC, voters urged to uplift democratic rule in Nigeria

The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) and Nigerian electorates have been called upon to ensure they uplift democratic governance in the country by conducting credible elections.

Comrade Mazi George Chidi who is the President, of Federal Housing Authority Youth Association, (FHAYA) Lugbe, Abuja said in a press conference in Abuja.

According to him, “This general election to be conducted by INEC in 2023 is beyond any individual, but about uplifting the image of the country in the World.

“It was predicted that Nigeria will break up in 2015, but it survives, I am optimistic that the country will not break up if the electorates vote wisely.” He said.

Comrade Mazi George Chidi said the populace is concerned about the current state of the dwindling economy, insecurity and declining values despite the increasing population of youths. This calls on the electorates to vote wisely devoid of ethnic or religious sentiments.

The youth leader calls on the people to avoid any act that would jeopardise the growth and development of the country.

Comrade Mazi George Chidi called on the youth to avoid being used as political thugs to cause havoc on their fellows.

The Youth Leader said an analogy is the influx of refugees because of the war between Russia and Ukraine, the over 200 million population of Nigeria should tread with caution.
