2023: Kaduna APC governorship candidate promises to consolidate on El-Rufa’i’s achievements

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Kaduna state in the forthcoming general election, Senator Uba Sani has promised to consolidate on the achievements of Malam Nasir El-rufai if elected.

Sani made the pledge on Monday at a town hall meeting in Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government Area.

The APC candidate engaged with traders, farmers, women, youth and religious groups, unions among others

He explained that building on the giant strides of the present administration in education, healthcare, agric, youth and women empowerment was necessary to ensure sustained development.

“We are all aware of the transformation that is going in our dear state under the watch of Malam El-rufai.

“I will build on these developmental programmes to take our state to even greater heights,” he stated

According to him, only projects that have a direct bearing on the lives of the people would be given priority in his government.

He maintained that his exploit at the senate made him well placed to govern the state.

“When running for office, it is important you show the people your achievements in the last public office you held.

“I have sponsored numerous bills and remain the only senator to have two bills passed and assented to by the president,” he said.

On the issue of security, he said creation of state police and giving constitution roles to traditional rulers was the only way out.

In her remarks, Sani’s running mate and incumbent Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, said a vote for the APC was a vote for an assured future.

Balarabe noted that the town hall meeting was convened to get the inputs of the people of the zone before the candidate’s manifesto is released.

Apex News Exclusive reports that presentatives of the different groups and unions who spoke declared their support for the APC candidate.

They urged him to meet their yearnings and aspirations if voted into office.
