A gubernatorial hopeful for Adamawa State has expressed joy over the unconditional support his aspiration is getting from Adamawa people and promised to serve them well if elected Governor.

Hon. Abdulrazaq Namdas, made the declaration during the commissioning of Ganya zonal campaign office.

He expressed happiness over the unconditional support of his aspiration he is getting from Adamawa people promising to serve them well if elected.

Abdulrazaq Namdas is a member representing Toungo, Ganye, Jada and Mayo Belwa Federal Constituency seeking to be the governor of the state under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He noted that his aspiration has recorded significant acceptance since he announced his drive to govern the state early this year.

“In January this year, I told Adamawa people that I have the intention to contest for governorship election and that
In line with my aspiration, I have to back my words with action and today, I have commissioned an office in my constituency because this is where I’m having majority of the support.

“They sent me to national assembly on two occasions and I want to start from home as they say charity begins at home. It is a zonal office for the four LGs that I represent at the national assembly.

He sad, “I will also commission another one in Numan federation because, the southern zone has about nine local governments five in Numan federation.”

Responding to question why he remained one of the most visible governorship aspirants in the state, Namdas said he believed in the sanctity and power of the people in a democracy as such he accords them the respect they deserved.

According to him, as someone who believed in the power of the people, he has been consulting with them and selling his aspiration because of the gesture, the people have expressed unreserved support for his ambition, he added.

While reiterating, “When you want to vie for public office, you can’t seat in Abuja and claim that you will get the thing by force. You need to meet the people, you need to convince the stakeholders to buy into your aspiration and show them you’re serious.

“These are the steps I decided to take right from the day I declared my intention to contest the governorship of Adamawa State in January this year.

“I have met with the people, I have talked to them and because we rely on the masses we have to follow them where they are. I cannot sit in the comfort of my room and expect people to endorse me,” he added.
