The march towards Nigeria’s 2023 Presidential election got under way in Abuja Monday as the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Support Groups Management Council held its delegates conference and affirmed their commitment to work for the success of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for Nigeria’s presidency.
The International Conference Centre, venue of the conference that brought 2500 Tinubu Support Groups under one roof, was turned into a carnival.
The conference has as theme “The imperative of grassroot mobilization and volunteering in a democracy” with Professor Abba Sadiq as guest speaker.
The tone of the conference was set by Chairman, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Support Groups Management Council, Senator Abu Ibrahim who urged all the groups to use their experiences to win the presidential election for Asiwaju Tinubu.
According to him, the conference is not campaign yet as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has not declared elections campaigns yet.

The Director-General of the Tinubu Support Groups, Dr. Abdulmumuni Jibrin said the conference brings together over 2500 support groups across the country that must continue to mobilise aggressively from the grassroots for Tinubu’s presidential candidature.
He said 2023 is about Nigeria’s future which cannot be toyed with and Tinubu presidency is the best for the country. He later led all the support groups to affirm to work together for Asiwaju.
In his speech, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF), Mr. David Babachir noted that within the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Tinubu has not equal and should the party’s flagbearer no matter what method would be used to select the candidate.
He pointed out that Asiwaju Tinubu is not only brilliant but also a detribalized Nigerian and the right person to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Chairman of the occasion and former Governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettima said after eight years of APC presidency from the north, it is only normal for the South to take over and Asiwaju Tinubu is qualified.
According to him, Asiwaju Tinubu is a leader of leaders and had mentored so many persons who in turn mentored others to succeed.
Senator Shettima disabused the insinuation about the age and physical fitness of Tinubu noting that the work is not that of bricklaying but intellect which he has.
Besides, he said, Tinubu has supported northern candidates in the past and is now time for him to be supported for the presidency.
