2023: Supporters parade Calabar, call Transportation Minister, Amaechi to run for President

Supporters of minister of transport, Rotimi Amaechi Saturday morning paraded major streets of Calabar, calling on him to declare for president.
They carried cardboards, saying he is very qualified and is the desired person for the job.
The supporters came under the aegis of Unity House Foundation (UHF) from many of the South-South states, including Akwa Ibom, Rivers and Bayelsa States.
National chairman of the group, Chima Onuoha said Amaechi being a former governor of Rivers State, Speaker of the state Assembly and now a minister for eight years each, is eminently qualified aspire for presidential election next year.
“We are here in Calabar to join voices with our members here and other youths all over the country to call on the minister of transport to declare his aspiration to run for president next year.
“He has track records from his days as Speaker through governor of Rivers, chairman of governors forum and of Speakers in the country.
“Like in other parts of the country, he has been able to revitalise the railway system, which is up and running in the country, the Maritime Academy, Oron, amongst others.”
