Newly inaugurated team for Senator Emmanuel Bwacha gubernatorial campaign council have been reminded to use the opportunity to salvage Taraba State for the good of the people.
Senator Bwacha who gave the charge while performing the inauguration said the state is in dare need for total transformation and change aimed at preventing it from total collapse .
He noted that the occasion should have been a celebratory event, but the mood and desperate situation in the state calls for a somber; pointing out that the assignment at hand needs total commitment and focus on the task ahead. “Taraba once a vibrant and prosperous state has now shamelessly degenerated to a pitiable level of desolation, deprivation and hopelessness. Apart from the scourge of poverty, hunger and disease. In view of this, we are been saddled with the responsibility of redeeming our people and the state from this miserable state of affairs. It is the responsibility of not only re-laying the foundation of a new Taraba, but mending the fences of several divisive tendencies introduced in our body polity. It is a task we have no luxury of falling because if we fall, our state is not only doomed but posterity will not forgive us”.
“Time has come for Taraba to change the narrative; we cannot build a state based on fears, mutual suspicious and timidity. This is neither the intention nor the dream of our founding fathers. We must go beyond petty stereotypes and the common differences to embrace each for the common good. I want assure you that the problems we face as state are not insurmountable. Indeed, we have decided to take this challenge and we shall succeed by the grace of God.
Sen. Bwacha re-iterated the need for harmonious peace and unity among party members and pleaded on all aspirants and supporters to sheath their swords in the interest of peace and join hands together to drive APC to victory from state to national come 2023 general election.
Meanwhile notable party members who spoke at the inauguration include state party chairman, Barr. Ibrahim El-sudi, campaign chairman, Uba Magari, APC deputy gubernatorial candidate, Iliyasu Karim, Engr. Ahmed Yusuf, former SSG Gavin Yaweh and host others promises to take APC campaign door to door and ensure victory for the party across line.
