2027: APC aspirant, Rev. Kuryas pledges people-oriented representation for Jaba State Constituency

An aspirant for the Jaba State Constituency seat in the Kaduna State House of Assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rev. Excellent Musa Kuryas, has reiterated his commitment to delivering people-oriented governance and positive change in Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Rev. Kuryas, who spoke to journalists in his hometown of Kuryas Daddu, Jaba LGA, said he is optimistic about the future as preparations towards the 2027 general elections gather momentum.

According to him, his aspiration is driven by a desire to serve the people and contribute meaningfully to development at the grassroots. He noted that his focus would be on critical sectors such as education, healthcare and infrastructure if elected.

“As we step into 2026, I am filled with hope and excitement for the opportunities ahead. I remain committed to serving the people of Jaba with sincerity and dedication,” he said.
The aspirant also used the occasion to send a New Year message to his constituents, wishing them peace, prosperity and progress, while appealing for their support ahead of the 2027 polls.

“Let us make 2026 a year of growth, innovation and unity. Together, we can build a brighter future for Jaba and ensure that our voices are heard in the Kaduna State House of Assembly,” he added.

Rev. Kuryas further highlighted his background and experience, describing them as assets that would enhance effective representation. He is the immediate past Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Zaria Local Government Area, and served as CAN representative for Zaria Federal Constituency in engagements related to constituency interventions from the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas.

A former teacher and administrator, Rev. Kuryas is also a church pastor with over a decade of experience as Lead Pastor of Siloam Baptist Church, Gwargwaje, Zaria. He holds a Master’s degree in Theology, specialising in Christian Ethics and Pastoral Care and Counselling, from the Baptist Theological Seminary, Kaduna, and is currently a PhD student at Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
