28 UNICAL students selected for scholarships

Twenty-eight undergraduate and PhD students in the University of Calabar who have difficulty in paying their fees have been selected for scholarships.
They were selected from multiple entries received by an Endowment Fund instituted by kind-hearted persons from the state.
Announcement of the winners was made in a statement by its coordinator, Agba Jalingo. titled ‘Winners Of Education Endowment Fund For Students Of The University Of Calabar’.
The 28 winners are from four local government areas of the state.
Seven winners are selected from Bekwara, Obanliku, Obudu, and Calabar Municipality
Some of them are at 100, 200, 300 and 400 levels while two are on 500 And 600 levels (PhD).
On procedure to claim the fund, winners were advised to contact the guarantors on or before 20th January 2022 by noon.
“These guarantors will guide the selected applicants on redeeming the fund for their registration as nobody will be given cash.
“Any selected applicant who fails to reach any of the two guarantors will lose their fund to another set of applicant(s) who will be selected via ballots.
“Also, those who have paid their fees will lose the slot to another batch of applicants selected through balloting.”
