Assailants have killed at least seven persons in Negge community of Numan Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
According reports reaching Apex News Exclusive, indicated that several others were injured even as several others are still missing.
Sources from the area told our correspondent that the heavily armed assailants stormed Negge community in the wee hours of Tuesday and raided the areas till Wednesday afternoon unhindered.
Negge, a community under Bolki ward, located at the border between Adamawa and Taraba states, had suffered a series of attacks in recent past.
Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the attack and gave assurances that it fish out the perpetrators.
Deputy Speaker of Adamawa House of Assembly and Member representing Numan Constituency, Pwamwakeno Mackondo, said, “The inhabitants of Negge in my constituency were attacked by armed men as a result unspecified number of people were killed.”
