The President of the Global Baptist Mission (GBM), Most Rev. Ambassador Benjamin Njengong said God has seen who will be the next Governor of Taraba State.
He made the assertion at the 7th anniversary celebration of the Mission at Kusuku in Sardauna Local Government Area of the state on Thursday with the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Taraba State, Hon. Danladi Baido in attendance as guest.
The clergy rolled out some names of those vying for governor in the state but noted that God has already seen somebody that will become the next governor.
Most Rev. Njengong said Hon. Baido might just be the Biblical David among those aspiring to become the next Chief Executive of the state.
According to him, people of the area are dying because of the neglect of the present administration in the state especially due to lack of potable water and health facilities.
He expressed dismay that after communities have raised politicians to power, they turn around and neglect them and pledged that anytime they return they would be disgraced.
Hon. Baido in his remarks thanked the GBM for inviting him to their anniversary and promised to work with them and others to salvage Taraba State.
He pledged to established an empowerment scheme in all the local government areas of the state where skill acquisition will be taught.
Hon. Baido berated the outgoing administration for taking huge loans that have placed the state in a precarious situation.
