Hon. Danladi Baido remains strong in the governorship election
By David Haruna
The Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in Taraba State, Hon. Danladi Baido has not collapse his campaign structure with that of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Also, he has not withdrawn from the governorship race and not contemplating doing so.
This was made known by Anthony Maliki, the Special Assistant on Media to the governorship candidate, Hon. Baido in a statement in Jalingo on Wednesday.
He said the governorship is abhorred with the rumour making the rounds that he had forfeited his governorship aspirations in favour of the PDP candidate.
According to Maliki, the rumour is being paddled by PDP supporters sponsored by its candidate, Kefas Agbu, who are desperate.
He pointed out that Agbu is a political novice who is only dancing to the tune of his godfathers.

The media aide cautioned the supporters of Agbu to desist from peddling such rumour or else they would fight dirty in the public space.
Meanwhile, Hon. Baido along Senator Emmanuel Bwacha of All Progressives Congress (APC) and Senator Joel Ikenya have knocked the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for purported endorsing Agbu as its preferred governorship candidate.
The trio spoke jointly at the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Correspondents Chapel Media Parley “The Road to 2023” on Wednesday night.
Narrating how they got CAN’s invitation, they said the association called them for prayers only to turn around to endorse Agbu.
Speaking on the matter, Hon. Baido alleged that CAN were given N50million to carry out the so-called endorsement.
He said among all the governorship contestants, Agbu is the most unqualified as he knows next to nothing about the challenges of Taraba State.
