Governor Fintiri approves N2.4bn empowerment for youth, women in Adamawa

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has approved the tune of N2.4bn for youths and women empowerment in the state.

The State head of PAWECA, Haj. Aishatu Bawa Bello disclosed this during the launching of 10,000 women empowerment across Adamawa.

According to Bello, the funds have been set aside in the 2023 budget adding that the government has so far empowered many youths and women in the state.

The Speaker, Adamawa State House of Assembly and Senator-elect Alhaji Aminu Iya Abbas commended Governor Fintiri for the giant strides in the state.

The Commissioner of Entrepreneurship Development, Hon. James Iliya said recently the government has empowered 492 cooperatives among others.

In his remarks at the event in Mahmud Ribadu Square, Yola, Governor Umaru Fintiri said each of the beneficiaries will receive N50,000 grant.

He revealed that the Ministry of entrepreneurship would also follow up on each beneficiary to provide the necessary entrepreneurial support.

Fintiri said, “I urge you commissioner ministry of enterprenuership to follow up on each of the beneficiaries to ensure the necessary enterpremierial support.
