Vanguard reporter now General Manager Cross River state-owned Nigerian Chronicle newspaper

The Cross River State correspondent of Vanguard newspaper, Mr Emmanuel Una has been appointed the General Manager of Nigerian Chronicle owned by the state government.

Former editor of the paper, Florence Oluohu has been appointed Editor-in-Chief.

Chronicle was established in 1971 by the military government of late Brigadier General Udoakaha Esuene, and has produced top-rated Journalists in Nigeria.

Governor Ben Ayade reconstituted the management team of th newspaper following the appointment of former General Manager, Emmanuel Akpong and Samuel Egbala, former Editor-in-Chief as permanent secretaries in the state civil service.

These appointments were confirmed in a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Mr Emmanuel Beshel Akpong for the State Commissioner for Information and Orientation,Mr Eric Iso Anderson.

Other members of the Management Team include, Ms Keyu EDET as Secretary to the Corporation; Mr Oka Ibor as Editor, Mr Eba Erim as Assistant General Manager, Commercial, Mrs Dorathy Asibong Eni as Personnel Manager, Mr Ekesi Pius as Production Manager while Mr Ndoma Bassey is the Head of Works in the Corporation.

The new general manager, Una studied in the University of Calabar and has over 20 year’s work experience as journalist, working in different media outfits.
