A lone fatal crash that occured on Tuesday, 4th April, 2023 has claimed 2 lives while 5 others were variously injured.
This was contained in a first information report (FIR) from RS 12.12 Darazo /Zebra 45 by Rescuer, PMI Y Ahmed released by the Sector Commander of the Bauchi State FRSC Command, Yusuf Abdullahi.
The FIR contained that the crash occured at Kahun village, Km14 from the base on the Darazo – Dukku road at 1836hrs while time of call was 1840hrs while time of arrival to the scene by personnel was 1900hrs making a
response time of 20mins.
The lone Vehicle involved is a white Toyota Hiace bus with registration number DKA 127 XT used for commercial purposes conveying 14 people, all male adults.
Those injured with bruises, head injuries and fracture were 5 males adults while those killed in the crash were 2 male adults, the crash according to the FRSC, was caused by tyre burst (TBT).
Both the injured victims and the dead were evacuated from the scene to the General Hospital, Darazo for medical attention while the corpses were deposited at the hospital mortuary.
