Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria ethics, integrity policy training enters day 2

The training on strategies for the implantation of National Ethics and Integrity Policy (NEIP) by the Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria (ACAN) enters its second day with some presentations.

Those to speak are Yusuf Ali of the Nation newspapers who would talk on “The media and promotion of NEIP”, “CSOs, CBO and promotion of community ownership of the NEIP” by Mrs. Rasheedat Aduni Okoduwa and “CSOs, CBOs and promotion of popular participating in the political process” by Professor Isaac N. Obasi.

According to programme of events, the second day would be largely group discussions on various topics and thereafter general discussions.

On the first day, the Provost, ACAN, Professor Olatunde Babawale, said trainees are from a broad cross-section of the private sector.

He noted that the engagement with private organisations underscores the ICPC’s mandate which allows engendering integrity as a component of anti-corruption efforts in both public and private sectors.

The Director of Enlightenment of ICPC, Alhaji Baba Ashiru unraveled seven core values of the policy. These include human dignity, voice and participation, patriotism, personal responsibility, integrity, national unity and professionalism.
