Taraba Deputy Governor urges Muslims to use lessons of Ramadan to Pray for Peace in Nigeria

Muslim Umarah in Taraba State have been urged to use the lessons of Ramadan to pray for permanent peace in Nigeria and her incoming leaders as they join their Counterparts world over to mark this year’s eid–el- fitr celebration.

Taraba state deputy governor, Engr. Haruna Manu who stated this shortly after eid-el fitr prayers to mark the end of thirty days of Ramadan at state university praying ground jalingo observed that the festivity called for sober reflection considering the fact that not all who started the Ramadan with them were privileged to mark the end of it.

According to him, the period calls for intensive prayers particularly as the nation will soon witness transition to a new government at all levels.

The deputy governor added that Tarabans should continue to imbibe the spirit of love, peace and harmony to one another, pointing out that the state has a lot to gain from the outgoing government who had worked tirelessly to ensure peace and harmonious environment for the state to strive for. “I want to appeal to all our brothers and sisters in Taraba state to cooperate with each other and pray for the incoming administration of Hon. Agbu Kefas, outgoing government of Arc. Darius Ishaku and that of president-elect, Ahmed Bola Tinubu so that Taraba and Nigeria continued to reap more dividends of democracy.

On the state of security in Taraba, Engr. Manu gave the outgoing administration of Gov. Ishaku kudos for ensuring peace and unity, stressing that since 2015 the state had remained calm compared to previous years, just as he prayed for a bountiful farming season devoid of religious or ethnicity crisis across board.
