On the second day of his tour of projects commissioning in Southern Plateau Governor Simon Bako Lalong commissioned projects across five local governments.
Lalong who had on Wednesday commissioned projects in Langtang South and parts of Shendam, began his day by commissioning the Kalong bridge, longest bridge in Plateau State about 150m long 15 span Kalong-Angwan Dadi with twin bridges and many box culverts.
This was contained in a statement by Dr. Makut Simon Macham, Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor of Plateau State to Apex News Exclusive.

He later inaugurated the FRSC Training School, Shendam; Market Stalls and Motor park; Shendam bye-pass internal road and bridges; Longvel-Yelwa-Mato Road; electricity transformer and standby generator at the ; office blocks at Langtang North LGA.
Others are the new Local Government Council Secretariat Dengi and Jamb Centre, Kanam LGA; Primary Healthcare Referral Centre Amper; ICT Centre Kwal; PHC referral Centre Kwall among others.
Governor Lalong said he was delighted that many of the projects initiated by his administration and those abandoned from previous administrations have been completed and delivered before he leaves office.
He also commended Local Government Chairmen who have also executed projects that are laudable and very useful to the people.
The Chairmen of Shendam, Langtang North, Kanke and Pankshin all appreciated the Governor for spreading projects across the State and not concentrating in one area. This they say speaks about his commitment to equity, justice and fairness.

The Governor later performed the Coronation/Presentation of Staff of Office to the new Long Mhiship, His Royal Highness, Nda Sunday Dajep on Second Class status in Pankshin Local Government.
He said the coronation of the new monarch follows exit of the Late Long Mhiship, Nda Wesley Mulak to eternal glory to join his ancestors.

“This created a vacuum and by the special grace of God a successor that will take over from where the late Monarch stopped has emerged and will be presented with a Staff of Office to continue with the good works that his predecessor had started. May the soul of our Late Long Mhiship continue to rest in peace with the Lord. My Administration since coming on board had paid greater attention to rejuvenating the Traditional Institution so that it can contribute meaningfully in the developmental strides of the Government”.
He wished the new Monarch well and prayers were offered for his success in office.
