Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has ordered the state account general for immediate payment of salary to workers on or before Monday 2 O’clock next week.
Kefas who gave the matching order while swearing in Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief Gibon Kataps declares that his administration will not take the trust and mandate of the people for granted.
He noted that the appointment of SSG and other key positions was a deliberate attempt to design a framework that will stand the test of time bearing in mind the task ahead of them.
The Governor noted that apart from bringing positive change in governance that his appointees should brace up for challenge as the present government will not encourage failure.
While congratulating the new SSG, Gov. Kefas assured Tarabans that his first 100 days in office will bring positive change to the state especially as his appointees will constitute 80% of youth and women in the state.
He noted that the office of the office SSG was a significant one in the sense that it holds the engine room of administration.
The Governor said the appointment was divine because he never consulted any one before bringing him into the cabinet and warned that his administration will not hesitate to show the way out to anyone who is not ready to move the state forward.
Meanwhile, the new SSG, Chief Kataps has expressed gratitude to God and Gov. Kefas for appointing him.
He pledged to work in accordance with the administration’s policy to ensure that Gov. Kefas succeeds in moving the state forward.
