As the newly inaugurated administration settles down for governance, a number of factors are obviously staring them in the face as those who merited a reward among the various politicians who stood firmly for the victories at the polls are waiting for them to manifest.

Among such politicians jostling for rewards are drawn from both the young and the old. And because they are numerois and cut across the trata of the sociaty, they all have a stake in the respective victories.

So far, new appoitments are been rolled out across the country at both the centre and the state levels. And this has heightened anxiety among the reward canvassers. But as it is, not all will be patronise at the end of the day.

For those among them that boast of the reqiured credentials, nothing would be left to chance as they themselves are mobilising support from their well wishers’ sentiments to be heard and patronised at the end of the day.

So far so good, this scenerio is now playing out in Plateau State where strange bedfellows are want to go it alone ostensibly to justify why their personalities must be recognised at all cost.

Already, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of the state has made some key appointments and one can understand the eagerness in the polity. One aspect that caught the fancy of the state indigenes is the way and manner these appointments evolved. The spread made the people to believe he was ready to carry all along for the smooth implementation of his policies and programmes.

The governor appointed Arc. Samuel Nanchang Jatau as the SSG, Barr. Philemon Daffi, as the Attorney General/ Justive Commissioner designate and Mr. Moses Nwan the Executive Private Secretary to the governor.

Setting the ball rolling, the hightened agitations is now giving a handful of them hope as fervent prayers has pervaded the atmosphere.

But for a youthful Akims Mamot James (Ph.D), a seasoned teacher (academician), philanthropist and a community leader, it’s a time to take a bait in the patronising market; especially when he is banking on the roles he had played since the givernor was nominated by the PDP.

He has no doubt, distinguished himself among his peers and contemporaries across the north central Nigeria in particular and beyond. A stunch youth leader in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, a community leader and astute entrepreneur, he has influenced or trained yourhs especially in Mangu LGA on skills acquisition and trade where he now draws his popularity and sympathy.

This rising leader, had directed his voluntary services to Hauwa Memorial secondary school, Mwansat College Mangu and Higher Islamic secondary school Mangu for three years; as a mark of ploughing-back to the community where he is a beneficiary.

He was employed with the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies, Kaduna. Akims completed his Masters in 2019 and began a Ph.D course in the same field, where he graduated February 2023.

To his credit are some laudable achievements that stand him out. That may be the reason why he has high respect and regards from his peers and community elders because of the lives he has touched positively in the course of his philanthropic outreaches.

Plans are underway to commission a water borehole he had drilled to ease the stay of one of the Internally Displaced Persons camp in Mangu suburb that is housing hundreds of displaced persons; cut in the recent violent attacks in the area recently by herders on the communities in the area.
