Echono noted that TETFund was also trying to find out the students’ needs to as to bring about the right intervention adding that it is also designing interventions to address students hostel challenges and others.
While stressing the need for equipping students with skills and rights support, Echono noted that TETFund would like the students to be its ‘eye’ in various institutions to report erring contractors so as to ensure transparency in the various TETFund projects carried out in the various beneficial institutions.

“We want to be able to identify on each campus a contact person that will be able to checkmate our projects so that we can have a first hand information, even before sending our team there.

“We are doing several engagement with other stakeholders. So, going forward, this will make our monitoring process more transparent,” he said.
Responding, NANS President, Usman Barambu assured the board that it will put thorough checks across campuses to ensure that contractors who handle TETFund projects carry them out effectively.
“We will do our best. With our monitoring, those contractors will do the right thing, I assure you. We only want that erring contractors be sanctioned so that we will be satisfied and happy to do more
“We will set up committee by higher institutions and forward their contacts to TETFund so that the Fund can contact them whenever there are needed,” he said.
The student body commended TETFund for the bus following their request and expressed hope that other requests which they presented through President Bola Tinubu will be fulfilled.
