Alhaji Kililya was bestowed with the award as “Africa’s Patriotic Icon of integrity and leadership” at an elaborate ceremony in Abuja.
The National President of Nigeria Association of Auctioneers was decorated with a medal and given a large plaque of the award.
Alhaji Kiliya expressed gratitude for being recognized to receive such award from an African organization noting that he would continue to do his best in any given position.
In his speech, Nigerian Representative in the Parliament, Comrade James Uneze explained that what the Parliament is doing was the reintroducing the concept of Pan-Africanism.
According to him, while other parts of the world have developed themselves, the development of Africa must be done by Africans and for Africans.
“We Africans must join hands together to develop Africa,” he said.
He gave the historic background on the formation of the Parliament which started in 1955 as West Africa Students’ Union in UK led by Ladipo Solanke with about 31 students.

The Nigerian Representative stressed that they have partnered with the Police and Customs on how to deal with the issue of drug abuse.

He noted that we still have people in corners across Africa that are doing excellently well about the course of national development in Africa.
