Yakubu Ahmed BK, Kebbi State Commissioner of Information and Culture

Kebbi State Commissioner of Information, Malam Yakubu Ahmed BK has expressed concern that the state has been under reported in many respects which will be addressed.
As such, he urged media representatives in the state to help change the narrative by adequately publicizing the activities of Governor Nasiru Idris.
The Commissioner made the remarks at an interactive session with working journalists in the state.
He assured the journalists that he would do all he could within his powers to make sure that things have changed for the better.
BK assured that Governor Idris is media-friendly who does not have anything to hide.
According to him, though the reasons for the under reportage are many, assured that all that has to change with him as Commissioner.
The commissioner stated that one positive thing about Governor Idris was that he has kept on running with no visible intention of ever stopping.
The commissioner listed some achievements recorded in just few days of Governor Nasiru Idris administration to include revisiting the abandoned state Secretariat complex and promised to prioritize its completion.
According to him, Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, dubbed a glorified local government headquarters is beginning to become one huge hub of construction activity with a network of roads that should have been undertaken long ago.
BK noted that in just under 100 days in office, even with the unnecessary distraction of election litigation and the usual teething problems of taking over, the Governor has proven a capacity of appreciation of the challenges facing the state and how to go about dealing with them.
